The town is centred upon a delightful 18th century market house which is also the Town Hall. Originally renowned for its woollen cloth, and later its world-famous Lister-Petter engines, Dursley is fast becoming a centre for the arts.

| The Old Spot Inn |
|---|
The Old Spot Inn is listed among Britain’s top 500 pubs, as well as being a CAMRA National award winner (Campaign for Real Ale ) for its reputation as the epitome of a real English ale pub. With the old English atmosphere of taverns long gone, the cosiness embraces you the moment you walk through the door. There are no jukeboxes or fruit machines here - just excellent, real beer for the real beer enthusiast.
Cam
Cam, one mile north of Dursley, is a community which gets involved with many projects, such as the Cam Domesday 21 Book of Wildlife in 2001. A record of the wildlife at the start of the 21st Century compiled from local people's observations. Cam Mill still makes fine fabrics as it has since 1522.
